Our First Lady

First Lady” Sionette Jones
Mrs. Sionette Jones is known to the Mt. Aaron Missionary Baptist Church parishioners as “First Lady.” Married to Pastor Jones”, First Lady Jones was blessed with three children: Dr. Leon Butcher, Mr. Dwayne Jones Jr., and Ms. Ashlee Jones.
First Lady Jones graduated from Buffalo State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. She works in the New York State Unified Court System and is in the last three years of her 30-year career.
One of her significant interests is equal education for minority youth. She leads the Mt. Aaron Youth program and is passionate about ensuring that Mt. Aaron’s future continues to move forward in a positive direction.
First Lady Jones’s favorite author and poet is Amanda Gorman. She spoke eloquently at President Obama’s inauguration, reciting her poem “The Hill We Climb.”
Her future includes volunteering with agencies whose main objective is to deter and, hopefully, eradicate human trafficking.
Mt. Aaron Missionary Baptist Church is most fortunate, honored, and blessed to have Mrs. Sionette Jones as their “First Lady.”
